Diesel Engine

This diesel engine is supplied as a drive unit rather than a finished machine, for powering pumps, compactors, generator sets and light plant. Diesel suits equipment that works for long periods under steady load: fuel consumption per hour is lower than an equivalent petrol unit and the engine tolerates continuous duty far better.

The two common uses are repowering existing plant whose original engine has worn out, and building up pump or generator sets to a specification that no off-the-shelf machine quite meets. In both cases the shaft, mounting pattern and rated output are what decide whether the engine will drop in.
