The EM-2030 is a 1450 W rotary hammer built for drilling into concrete, brick and stone u2014 the work that stalls an ordinary drill. It runs on standard 220u2013240 V mains at 50/60 Hz, so it can be put on site power or a generator without a transformer.
A rotary hammer delivers its blow differently from a percussion drill. Rather than relying on the operator to push, an internal piston drives the bit forward, so the machine does the work and the drilling rate holds steady through a long run of holes. That is why the EM-2030 turns at a deliberate 800 r/min instead of the 2000u20133000 r/min of a general-purpose drill: in masonry, energy per blow matters more than rotational speed.
Its 32 mm drilling capacity covers anchor bolts, dowel holes, conduit runs and service penetrations. The 1450 W motor leaves enough reserve to keep cutting when a bit meets aggregate or catches reinforcement, rather than bogging down mid-hole.
