The EM-2610C is a digital clamp meter. Its jaws close around a single conductor and read the current flowing through it from the magnetic field alone, so current can be measured without breaking into the circuit or interrupting the supply.
That is precisely what makes a clamp meter the right instrument for live diagnostic work: checking whether a motor is drawing its rated current, balancing loads across phases, tracking down the circuit responsible for a rising bill, and confirming a supply performs under real load rather than at rest. Work that would otherwise mean isolating, breaking a connection and reinstating it becomes a matter of seconds.
