Digital Clamp Meter

The EM-2610D is a digital clamp meter for measuring current without disconnecting anything. Clamping around one conductor reads the load it is carrying, which makes it the natural instrument for panel work, motor maintenance and any check that has to be made with the plant running.

Its everyday value is comparison rather than absolute measurement: one phase pulling noticeably more than the others, a motor drawing above nameplate as a bearing tightens up, a circuit loaded closer to its breaker than the design intended. These are the conditions that precede a failure, and they are visible long before anything trips.
