The EM-6B is the companion unit to the EM-6 automatic pump controller, performing the same role: starting a pump on demand when pressure falls, stopping it when flow stops, and cutting power if the pump runs dry.
Controllers of this type turn a plain surface pump into an automatic pressurised supply, which is what most domestic and light commercial installations actually want. There is no vessel to pre-charge and no pressure switch to drift out of adjustment, so once set the installation largely looks after itself.
The B version differs from the EM-6 in its configuration. Tell us the pump and the installation and we will confirm which of the two is the right one, along with pressure settings and connection sizes.
